Steve is a friend of a friend - he and his wife welcomed me to their place in Manhattan to photograph Steve and record his story of the discovery of his Jewish heritage. I was a bit nervous and made a few mistakes.... i.e. leaving my coat on the chair in the background, somewhat photobombing this picture.
